Another Facebook bug may have exposed millions of users’ private photos to app developers

Facebook says the bug impacted hundreds of apps that let users create accounts and sign in using their Facebook login information.

It did not impact photos shared in Messenger, and weve asked Facebook if it impacted photos shared to private groups or albums.

Not including Cambridge Analytica, which exposed the companys weak privacy policies from years past, Facebook has had a number of other privacy mishaps, many of them in the past six months.

This new photo-sharing bug is yet another black eye for the company, which is dealing with the perception that it doesnt take user privacy seriously.

As Ive said in a number of things that Ive written and spoken about, including election security, security is an arms race.
